Aloha! We are a team of 2 sisters and Mom. We are Candis Thomas, LaRae Martineau and Sunny Burton. We bought a small piece of abandoned, neglected agriculture land in the rich soils of Waimanalo, Hawaii in 2016. We had a vision of creating an organic farm and community event center.
The land was so overgrown with jungle and vines we could only see the magnificent views of Olomana Peak and the stunning Ko’olau range as the backdrop.
A year later we had the land cleared of debris and the farmhouse built. We designed a permaculture map of the site and began to create our organic farm.
Finally, after the rainiest winter in a decade the ground dried enough to build garden beds and install irrigation.
We began planting vegetable crops and fruit trees in May 2018.
Before long, friends were asking about having their Weddings, concerts and various Celebrations at our beautiful event venue.
Puamana Gardens now produces a wide variety of organic produce and eggs in addition to hosting a wide array of events.
